How Infotech collects, uses and protects your personal information.

Last updated: 23 June 2026

This policy explains what personal data Infotech Consulting Ltd (“Infotech”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use this website or contact us, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). Infotech Consulting Ltd is the data controller.

Who we are

Infotech Consulting Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 08178585), 3 St George's House, Vernon Gate, Derby DE1 1UQ. You can reach us at hello@infotech.uk.com or 01332 292105.

What information we collect

Information you give us. When you complete a form on this site, email us, or call us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number (if you give one) and the contents of your message.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and security provider records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is used to operate the site securely and is held only for short periods.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent spam and abuse, which may store a small amount of data in your browser strictly for that security purpose. If we introduce website analytics in future, we will use a privacy-friendly, cookieless solution and update this policy.

How we use your information, and our legal basis

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide the information or services you ask for — our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you, and taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
  • To keep the website and our systems secure and prevent abuse — our legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting our business and visitors.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we never sell it.

Who we share it with

We only share your data with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf under contract:

  • Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery and security.
  • Resend — delivery of form submissions to our inbox.
  • Google Workspace — our business email, where we receive and manage enquiries.

Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as UK adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses) are in place. We may also disclose information where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards as a business record, then delete it. Technical security logs are kept only briefly.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, and to ask us to correct, delete, or restrict it, to object to its use, or to receive a copy. To exercise any of these, email hello@infotech.uk.com.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Security

We are Cyber Essentials certified and take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) across this website.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
